'Alpha' - an homage to the boréal forest.
Kora & Wuachuma released their latest collaboration 'Alpha' on December 25th 2019 — A song composed in the boreal forest as an homage to this rich & inspiring ecosystem.
Music gives us an amazing opportunity to create awareness for issues that we are sensitive about. Having read that our government is allowing for deforestation in the area & putting Caribou’s at risk was a big shock for us and we feel that dedicating our song to this cause in an effort to create more awareness around the topic is essential. - Wuachuma
In collaboration with both artists, we fundraised & collected profits from the song's sales and donated 784.00$ to Nature Québec, an organisation that protects the forests and biodiversity in Canada since 1981.
The fundraiser campaign aims to protect the caribou and its habitat, threatened by deforestation & negligence by Québec government.
